The most common abiotic contributions are water and dirt. Soils in the boreal forest are typically nutrient poor and some what acidic. They are very important to the boreal forest/taiga biome because water provides a home for many organisms and also where many organisms get their food and water. The dirt helps plants grow and help other organisms survive. The biotic living factors in the boreal forest contribute to the other animals, benefiting both factors, helping with off springs ; and cleaning the environment.
